What do women really want in the bedroom?

Every time I read an article in a magazine or watched a programme like the Oprah Winfrey Show about "improving your sex life" or "increasing your libido", or something like that, I was always left with the thought "there must be more to it than this".
Now, I'm a Oprah fan, don't get me wrong, she has always had brilliant and inspiring guests. Why did it seem then, that there were no answers that would actually help me and inspire me to do something about it.
I was hoping that there would be an answer and solutions to why my sex drive was low, from having a “normal” drive when I was younger, but it always left me feeling more put off and disappointed about the whole concept of sex.
We see in adverts and articles, and hear in discussions the question "what do women want in the bedroom?" Or, "Here is what you do to spice up your sex life with your partner", or "Buy these sex toys and lingerie and everything will be hunky dory"... What this sort of advice does is it puts a lot of women off sex even more.
The truth what women really want
I have come across some courses and ideas that have helped me a lot, and are a biiiig part in helping women rediscover their sparkle. So, it was really good to find an article about female sexuality that supports what I believe, and shows that there is much more to what women want than the physical side of sex.
The article is by Gina Odgen, who is an American sex therapist, author and speaker for women sex and spirituality. She has done a survey of women in America that finally tells the truth that even Oprah failed to grasp, The survey is called 'Sexuality and Spirituality in women's Relationships', and in it she says:
"Sex research has shortchanged women of every age and sexual orientation by asking the wrong questions. If you seek answers to that old Freudian question: "What do women want?" don't go to the experts. Listen closely to what women tell you. For the real experts are women themselves." You can read the report here.
At last! I thought I must share this with my Sparkle gang. Now, reading evidence of "a different solution" is fine, but what can you do about it yourself to make a difference in your life?
